Exhibiting at the Liverpool City Region Skills Show in July proved to be highly successful for Mode with so many school pupils and parents attending the event. We received hundreds of visitors at our stand, all interested in finding out more about our Apprenticeships, Study Programmes and private courses in DJ Skills, Music Production, Hair and Make Up, Customer Service and Business Administration.
Selfie mirror and live demos
From the start of the event, our stand was teaming with scores of school pupils and other visitors. We had DJ decks for people to have a go at, and our stand featured the event’s only selfie mirror so people could take pictures away with them. There was also the chance for individuals to have their hair styled and watch live demonstrations by experienced professionals.
Open day bookings
Mode received hundreds of visitors on the day, and registered over 200 individual enquiries from school pupils in years 9, 10, 11 and 6th form. All these young people have requested an invitation to forthcoming Mode open days. In addition, their parents were invited to an information evening held at Mode’s training centre on the evening following the Skills Show. This in itself has resulted in 10 young people booked in for interviews for current Apprenticeship vacancies with local businesses, and an additional 6 individuals booked to start on Study Programme shortly in preparation for progressing onto an Apprenticeship. Many more booked interviews and apprenticeship starts are expected once everyone who expressed an interest at the Skills Show have attended one of Mode’s open days.
High volume of visitors
Debbie Tagoe, director and owner of Mode Training was impressed by the high volume of visitors to the Skills Show:

The pupils just kept coming! I don’t think we’ve ever exhibited at an event attended by so many of our target apprenticeship market!”

Having them all under one roof really helped us all appreciate the hugely rich and diverse skills development offer they provide as a collective. Dynamic, student-focussed providers like Mode Training really helped make the event a success, and we’re delighted that they have received many more Apprenticeship enquiries by exhibiting.”
