BTEC FIRST Music (2010) (Level 2)
Through a combination of practical experience and written assignments, this course provides the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for a career in the music technology sector. In the music technology sector, typical employment opportunities may include working as part of the stage crew or backline technical support.
Core units include learning about the music industry and managing a music product. You will relate that to the real world through studying for professional skills in music. Music production and analysis, a music showcase and researching a music topic are also covered.
These units allow you to tailor the programme to pursue your particular interests. This could be music performance and composition, DJ-ing or undertaking a music enterprise initiative.
