Level 2 Skills for Music and Music Production

Course content

Through a combination of practical experience and written assignments, this course provides the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for a career in the music technology sector.

Core units include learning about the music industry and managing a music product. You will relate that to the real world through studying for professional skills in music. Music production and analysis, a music showcase and researching a music topic are also covered.

These units allow you to tailor the programme to pursue your particular interests. This could be music performance and composition, DJ-ing or undertaking a music enterprise initiative.

• Training is a mix of practical and theory on-the-job
• Tutors from Mode provide ongoing support and assessment to students throughout their course


This course is fully funded through Adult Education Budget for those over the age of 19, residing in Liverpool City Region, unemployed or earning less than £17,550
