World Suicide Prevention Day 2025 — Supporting Young People
10 September 2025

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a global reminder that every life matters and that suicide can be prevented. At Mode Training, we are focusing on the importance of supporting young people’s mental health.

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among teenagers and young adults. The pressures of school, social media, and personal challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming — but no young person should face these struggles alone.

We are committed to creating safe spaces for learners, equipping staff and parents with the skills to recognise the signs of distress, and encouraging open conversations about mental health. Small actions — listening, reaching out, sharing resources — can create hope and save lives.

A message for young people:
You are not alone. Talking about how you feel is a sign of strength. Reach out to a friend, tutor, parent, or trusted adult. Support is available, and asking for help can change everything.
