Skills for Life
The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2024 is Skills for Life. The week-long celebration of apprenticeships, taking place across England, will showcase the impact apprenticeships can have on communities, local businesses, and regional economies and how they all benefit from the impact of apprenticeships.
In true Mode style we will celebrate throughout the week. Whilst sharing inspirational stories from our current and former apprentices.
Radio Merseyside Interview
In preparation for the week ahead our MD Debbie Carney was invited onto BBC Radio Merseyside to talk about the benefits of apprenticeships Furthermore she spoke about the changes she has seen over her 30-year career in the sector. You can listen here. Debbie’s interview starts 2 hours 30 minutes into the show.
What will your next Mode be?
Our “What will your next Mode be?” initiative empowers apprentices and learners to speak with industry specialists. The initiative is a key element to our Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) provided to all apprentices.
On Monday our apprentices will have the opportunity to speak to Clare Holmes, who will be sharing her journey from an apprentice to her life today as an International Creative Consultant.
Clare has worked in the hairdressing industry for 30 years, with over 22 years in education. Her journey started in Liverpool and at 17, her passion for colouring was ignited, allowing her to gain the skills to travel the world creating and producing large hairdressing shows and seminars.
