Notice to all employers students and parents regarding Covid-19

Temporary closure of training centre

As you are all aware over the past weeks since the outbreak of Covid-19, we have worked through our business continuity plan to ensure minimum disruption to teaching and learning. During this time, we have ensured the safety of both staff and students has been given the highest priority.

Following the government’s announcement on Thursday 17th March we will be taking their advice and temporarily closing the training centre from 4.00 pm Friday 20th March 2020.

From Monday 23rd March all staff will be working from home until it is safe to do otherwise, all teaching will take place via our various online platforms including OneFile and Zoom.  Mode 0151 709 4640 telephone will remain in operation with all e mails and social media platforms also remaining the same.

Social distancing

We have all seen how quick Covid-19 is spreading from country to country, with confirmed cases and deaths here in the UK on the rise daily.  It is important we all play our part by socially distancing ourselves and only going out when we absolutely need to, for food and medicines.  Taking these measures now will ensure the NHS will be able to cope with the number of people who will require hospital treatment and keep us all safe.

Students

Over the coming days your tutor will contact you directly to organise next steps and ensure you are set up on the correct learning platforms to access lessons and resources. Assessors will ensure students who require additional support are contacted as a priority.

We are conscious some employers have closed and either made you redundant or laid you off work, we are awaiting guidance from The Department of Education (which we anticipate to be released Monday 23rd March 2020), which will provide help and advice on next steps for apprentices.  Once the guidance is issued, we will send the information out to you via text local and your e mail address.  Can you please ensure you check your junk/spam emails as we are aware some e mail providers mark the e mails as junk/spam.

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service to all our students and employers and now will be no different, the way in which we are providing the service will just change.
